Reading...
AS the evenings grow dark, gloom surrounds me on a summer rainy evening, and it's always time to read.
During occasional winds, thunder, lightning, and power failures (It doesn't happen often), I always keep a candle ready for inspiration. Then, books take me to all the dreamy worlds far away: to the hills and mountains, to the monasteries and to sacred chants, to bees and the albatross...
And when it’s all, I search for the time... I am late for bed.
The home is deep at sleep. So too is my Zimba. He is a bit inquisitive about everything at home. And as I tiptoe downstairs for a bottle of water. He looks at me from his corner bed with a doubtful eye, his three colour tail lazily wagging... "Will my Master pet me at this hour of the night?"

The heat has made a shallow escape,... still air conditioners are humming here and there... how fast nature seems to take relief upon these short downpours! The rains take only a couple of efforts to cool the earth.
As for me, those short candlelit readings that go with the dim evenings are truly romantic. No keyboard to tap and no thoughts about the world at large. Just the book and the murmurings make you think..

Good Night!
P.S. Can you tell me how you feel about the summer rains?
